Hello and welcome! I'm the Crafty Cailín and I live in the south-east of Ireland. In 2009 my cosy little world was turned upside down and shaken about a little so, seeking comfort, I turned to the crafts that I had learned as a child from my mother and my grandmother. Needless to say since then it's become a bit addictive and I've learned new crafts along the way. For me crafting allows the opportunity to become completely immersed in simple tasks, the satisfaction of finishing a project, and the quirky concept that by using skills that have been used for hundreds of years I am keeping something very special alive and functional in our very mixed up world...
